Republican Candidate for NYS Assembly

Term limits are needed at all levels of government and appointed positions.

Often times, our politicians stay in office for decades. They forget why they were elected into their office, and lose touch with their populace. They forget what they're working for and end up working against their communities, rather than helping.
The number of terms a political office can serve needs to be limited either by number of terms in the same position and, or total number of terms / years served in total elected positions for the state.
Another route would be to have a minimum age to serve in public office, we also need an age cap. or a cognitive baseline that once it is passed, initiates mandatory retirement Once a politician reached the predetermined age cap, they would finish out their current term and then retire.
